Welcome

We call it the Place for Grace.  Here at Redeemer Lutheran Church, we are a warm and welcoming community of faith living in grace from God and grace for each other. As you look at these pages, I hope you get a sense of all that God is doing among us: all the exciting ministries and programs and outreach we are part of here.  We have a vibrant music program and dynamic worship services. But mostly we have people full of joy and laughter and hope, living in the grace of God.  Take a look around our site.  I'm glad to be at Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Maybe you will be too.

Today's Chuckle

Seven year old Kevin loved to hang out at the local corner store, even though he was constantly teased by the older boys. The store's owner became concerned, wondering why this kept happening to such a nice little boy.

The older boys explained that Kevin was "two bricks shy of a load," or "two pickles short of a barrel." To prove it, sometimes they would offer Kevin his choice between a nickel (5 cents) and a dime (10 cents) and Kevin would always take the nickel -- they said, because it was bigger.

One day after Kevin grabbed the nickel, the store owner took him aside and said, "Kevin, those boys are making fun of you. They think you don't know the dime is worth more than the nickel. Are you grabbing the nickel because it's bigger or what?"

Slowly, Kevin turned toward the store owner and a big grin appeared on his face and replied, "Well, if I took the dime, they'd stop doing it, and so far I've saved $20!"
